Westborough Education Foundation is seeking new members to join its organization. The foundation's mission is to establish a permanent fund while allocating grants for innovative programs not funded by the Westborough Public School budget. These grants enhance curricula, are offered to all grade levels and areas of study. They impact a vast number of students in programs that otherwise would not exist today. The Robotics team, the religion symposium (originally funded by a Westborough Ed. Foundation grant), Africa Day, CSI program at the middles school, Video Announcer's Club at Mill Pond, Backyard Birding, and the Teddy Bear Exchange Program, are just some of the many grants the Ed. Foundation has awarded.
As funding decreases, teachers seek to enhance their curriculum and the excitement of their students through innovative programs, utilizing grants that the Westborough Education Foundation provides. To continue the success of this organization, new members are needed. Activities may include event planning, publicity, newsletter writing, being part of the grants committee, and meeting new people. It takes a community to raise children today. Becoming a member of the Westborough Education Foundation is a great way to support teachers and children of the Westborough Community.
